Back from Assateague Island Maryland 7/27/08

FOF fished onAssateague Island this past week and we managed to catch and release a large Sand Tiger Shark. We had three hook up's but lost two huge fish ,caused by the line snapping.  We hooked up with this fish at 2 AM and landed him shortly after that due to the great effort put forth by the newest members of our FOF team, Nick , Mike and Sean did everything right when it came to getting this big fish on the beach. Everyone did there job, Nick and Sean were in charge of the shark snatching , Mike was the light man and I handled the rod. Considering it was their first time dealing with a big shark , I couldn't have been more proud of these young men who showed no fear when it came to handling the big fish. Looking forward to more of the same int he next month so we'll keep you posted on our next mission. You'll be happy to know the Sand Tiger Shark was released unharmed!
