FOF took a trip to Island Beach State Park NJ this past weekend. This started out to be a Striper trip so we were very surprised when at the end of the first day we hook into a huge Thresher Shark. This fish was easily over eight feet . At first i thought i snagged a dolphin then i saw the long tail and knew we had a Thresher. It shot out of the water on the first run then made an about face lauching out of the water a second time. The excitement was quickly swept away by the feeling of limp line in my hand. He snapped the line after the shock leader which is around 7 FT . Every fish lost is a major let down but we learned alot about what we need to do to even the odds a little. We'll be heading back for a rematch this weekend June 6th and 7th so if your in the area feel free to stop by and check us out. Give me a shout if your at the beach and we'll let you know our location. Look out Long Tail here we come!!!! 570-926-1645 cell
