The FOF team fished Assateague Island this past weekend and landed some bigs sharks along with some monster rays! The water has finally warmed up and the sharks are there! We landed a 75-100lb shark right before dark it took about 30 mintues to get him ashore. After the sun went down the big boys showed up and the fight was on I can't tell you exactly how much the first shark weighed but it was over 7ft and around 250 lbs. We used our FOF shark snatcher to drag him up onto the beach it took every bit of strength we had. Shortly after releasing that shark we hooked up with another one bigger then the first. Joe Triano our Texas Sales Rep was in for the fight of his life having never hooked into a fish that large I was a little concerned about our chances getting the shark landed . He fought the shark for almost 1 1/2 hr's before we could get a clear view of the monster in the surf. We could tell by the size of the tale and body it was bigger then the first one. Just as i was getting ready to snatch it the line snapped the shark remained in view for a few seconds but i didn't feel comfortable going in after it in knee high water so we had to let him go. It was very heart wrenching to fight that long and lose it right at the end. So that will just have to remain a fish story but here are some pictures to show you the size of the sharks we get into using the Shore Shot Bait Caster. For all you fisherman out there that want to catch big fish like you never did before get in the game with FOF you won't be sorry you have my word!
