Catching And Tagging Sharks - Asseteague Island

FOF Back for more shark tagging in Asseteague Island, MD

I had a great trip this weekend with big Mike, we filled out our last three tags and had fun catching a bunch more fish at Asseteague Island, MD.

Mike also landed 3 very nice stingrays. The last one was a beast nearing 200 lbs. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get video of the hook releases, especially the big one. Mad Mike was right in there flipped it over unhooked it and flipped him back into the sea within 2mintues. Im going to ask NOAA if we can get some Stingray Tags since were getting pretty good at dealing with the largest ones Ive ever seen.Getting back to the shark tagging, Mike and I were a little short handed and were concerned we might not be able to get video, but like always when you get a shark its draws people in.

Mike and I were dealing with our first shark of the day and noticed a mother and daughter very interested in the shark so i asked her if she and her daughter could help us out.

"No problem!" she said. All I have to say is wow! they both did a great job. Beth shot the video and Summer did great on the shark tagging. I was very impressed with Summer's willingness to get right in there. I never get tired of seeing young people get involved in nature,its amazing and something i look forward to every trip. As always we show many people on the beach our new way of fishing and just wanted to give a shout out to Jackie and Sandy who were lets just say a breath of fresh air.

Its always something when you go on a Far Out Mission. It needs to be a TV Show! Non stop drama every week.

We built and patented a great product that's going to change the way people fish off the beach along with trying to teach kids responsibility and awareness of one of our most precious resources. The ocean is a place I go to cleanse my soul I believe our country needs a little ocean right now lets keep it intact. Made in the USA I always say!
